Director's welcome

Welcome to the Institute for Biocomputation and Physics of Complex Systems (BIFI).

Started with interdisciplinar vocation BIFI is a research institute of the University of Zaragoza, which aim to stablish synergies between researchers from different knowledge fields and areas, specially those between Computation, Physics and Biochemistry. It aspires to research excellence, by promoting the highest quality in its production and providing human capital and technical means for it.

BIFI expects to become a driving force at national and international level of the theoretical and experimental research in areas of Biocomputation, molecular and cell Biology, Biophysics and physics of Complex Systems by organizing national and international meetings. In addition, it is involved with the the training of researchers as well as the dissemination of scientific culture at the University and society . It also calls for the transmission of knowledge to society by transferring it into their production environment and industry.
