SUMMARY:The International BIFI 2022 Conference
DESCRIPTION:The  International BIFI 2022 Conference will take place online from February 7th to 9th\, 2022. On this occasion the Conference will be focused on the Science of Covid-19: from molecular drug design to data-driven epidemiological models.  \nIn order to ease attendance\, this year’s conference will be entirely hosted online. \nEvery two years the Institute organizes an international conference around its research areas. This is the case of 2022 when we will be holding the BIFI 2022 International Conference which will focus around what we could call the Science of Covid-19. As we well know at this time\, the subject is highly topical and possibly expected\, but given the massive impact to our societies and its relation to the core activities of our institute\, it is also natural choice for 2022. We hope this occasion will serve to consolidate knowledge on the topic\, bring new insights and tools to it\, and also to fill some gaps and open new research paths. The Conference aims at providing a forum to discuss the latest advances and insights in the study of this pandemic. SUMMARY:IX International BIFI 2020 Conference
DESCRIPTION:The IX International BIFI 2020 Conference will take place in Zaragoza\, in the auditorium of the R+D Building\, Río Ebro Campus (Actur)\, from February 3rd to 5th\, 2020. \nOn this occasion the Conference will be focused on “New Challenges in Molecular Biotechnology“. Thus\, we have prepared a scientific program with national and international speakers that we believe is very attractive. The event format includes plenary sessions with 18 talks by invited speakers\, 5 of which will be given by prominent researchers who conduct their research in renowned research centers such as the Pasteur Institute in Paris\, the Mitochondrial Biology Unit in Cambridge\, the Estación Experimental de Aula Dei (CSIC ) in Zaragoza\, the Rocasolano Institute in Madrid\, and the Laboratory of Systems Biochemistry (CIB-CSIC) also in Madrid. In addition\, nine of the works submitted will be chosen to give short oral talks of 12 min (+3 question-minutes). Two Poster sessions have been scheduled from which two works presented in this modality will be awarded with the amounts of €300 (First prize) and €200 (Second prize). \nWe warmly invite young and not so young researchers\, and also students\, to attend this new edition of our biennial conference and to send scientific communications related to the main tracks of the event. Our main purpose is giving you the opportunity to communicate your research and to create and/or strengthen new scientific collaborations. \nRegistration deadlines will be December 20th (Early) and January 10th (Late)\, with different registration fees in each case (see the different options on the event site). DESCRIPTION:Abierto el plazo de inscripción para la IX National Conference BIFI 2019\n\n  \nDel 30 de enero al 1 de febrero de 2019\, el Instituto de Biocomputación y Física de Sistemas Complejos (BIFI) celebra su IX Congreso Nacional\, en su sede\, el Salón de Actos del Edificio I+D del Campus Río Ebro de Zaragoza. \nEl programa incluye sesiones plenarias y conferencias impartidas por prestigiosos investigadores invitados y de nuestro Instituto\, así como charlas seleccionadas de doctorandos que realizan su tesis doctoral en el BIFI o venidos de otros centros de investigación. El IX Congreso Nacional BIFI 2019 forma parte de los esfuerzos para dar mayor visibilidad a las líneas de investigación del Instituto y para potenciar el desarrollo de colaboraciones entre grupos de investigación afines. En total se espera contar con la participación de más de 50 investigadores\, profesores universitarios y estudiantes de doctorado. \nLas líneas de investigación abordadas en el presente Congreso Nacional BIFI 2019 incluyen la Biología Molecular y Celular\, la Bioquímica\, la Biofísica\, la Física y la Computación. DESCRIPTION:Welcome! \nThe VI International Conference of the Institute for Biocomputation and Physics of Complex Systems (BIFI) will take place at Zaragoza (Spain)\, in January\, 22-24\, 2014. \nThe aim of this international meeting is to bring together researchers from whatever discipline where demanding computer simulations are required as a fundamental research tool. DESCRIPTION:The VI National Congress of the Institute for Biocomputation and Physics of Complex Systems (BIFI) will take place at the Edificio I+D of the “Río Ebro” (Actur) Campus of the University of Zaragoza (Spain)\, on January\, 30- February 1\, 2013.\nThe Congress will also host a special session dedicated to the celebration of the 10th anniversary of our Institute. \n\nThe aim of the Congress is to give to all participants a chance to disseminate their work and strengthen existing collaborations or establish new ones\, within the different research lines promoted by the BIFI Institute. \nTo this end\, the format of the Congress will include plenary sessions in the morning\, with invited and contributed talks\, as well as short outlines of the progress in each research line of the Institute\, providing the audience with an introduction on what will be discussed in the related workshops. The latter will run\, in the afternoon\, as two parallel sessions\, devoted to “Biochemistry\, Biophysics and Molecular Cell Biology”\, and “Physics and Computation”.
