SUMMARY:BIFI 2016 International Conference on Molecular Recognition
DESCRIPTION:https://bifi.es/events/bifi2016/ \nThe VII International Conference of the Institute for Biocomputation and Physics of Complex Systems (BIFI) on February 1-3\, 2016. \nThe meeting will be an international conference on molecular recognition from a protein perspective\, covering several topics such as computational methods\, molecular assemblies\, chemical biology and advanced technical developments. We wish the conference to represent a venue for gathering active researchers working in molecular recognition\, with strong roots in the scientific and academic communities to discuss recent developments and future challenges in the field. \nMain topics to be covered during the meeting: \n\nComputational methods.\nMolecular assemblies.\nChemical Biology.\nAdvanced technical developments\n\nTo this end\, the format of the Conference will include plenary sessions and short talks. \nShort talks will be selected among poster contributions. \nThe official language of the conference is English. \nResearchers from any Institution are warmly invited to attend the meeting.

DESCRIPTION:«Multiplex networks:  Structure and dynamics»\nEmanuele Cozzo\n(Dpto. de Física Teórica/BIFI) \nDirector: Yamir Moreno Vega \nResumen: \nLos estudios tradicionales en teoría de redes complejas representan la interacción entre dos elementos del sistema a través de un solo tipo de enlace.\nEsta representación resulta ser una simplificación excesiva en la mayoría de los casos. Para representar de manera apropiada estos sistemas se introdujo\nla noción de redes multiplex. En esta Tesis se ha desarrollado un lenguaje matemático formal para representar las redes multiplex en términos de la teoría\nalgebraica de grafos. Se generalizan algunas métricas estructurales y se estudian las propiedades espectrales de la matriz de supra-adyacencia y del\nsupra-Laplaciano de una red multiplex.
