BIFI joins the European Researchers’ Night 2026
The BIFI team (Institute for Biocomputation and Physics of Complex Systems) will take part once again in the European Researchers’ Night, celebrated this year under the theme “Science in Aragón: imagine tomorrow.” The event will take place this Friday, September 25 (5:00-8:30 PM and 10:00 PM-12:30 AM) and Saturday, September 26 (10:00 AM-2:00 PM), at Plaza del Pilar in Zaragoza, opposite the Government Delegation building.
Over these two days, science will leave research centres and laboratories to meet the public. More than 500 researchers will take part in over 80 free activities (experiments, workshops, demonstrations, talks, and many other proposals) designed to bring research closer to everyone.
BIFI joins this event alongside more than 30 Aragonese research centres, which will organise activities in technology, energy and space, agri-environmental sciences, health, and humanities, among other areas.
The BIFI team will be present in the Technology area, with the following activities:
- Biochemical Enigma: discover the mystery drug
- Genes and Data: playing the game of life
- Build your scientific profile
- Agustina’s great race
- Golf in space
All of them are designed so that anyone, regardless of age or background, can discover firsthand how today’s research in different fields will shape our future.
The Government of Aragón, through the Directorate General for Science and Research, is driving this new edition of the European Researchers’ Night 2026 together with the University of Zaragoza and the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). The initiative will also be held in Huesca and Teruel, and simultaneously in around 400 European cities.
