BIFI International Congress 2022
The Institute for Biocomputing and Physics of Complex Systems (BIFI) held its International Congress from June 7 to 9. After suffering a delay compared to the usual dates, this year this scientific meeting was finally organized “online” and its general title was “The science of COVID-19: from the molecular design of drugs to epidemiological models based on data”
More than 160 attendees gathered to analyze and debate the main scientific advances that have taken place over these years, after the efforts made in the unprecedented lived situation showing the great importance of multidisciplinarity in research, collaborating and directed towards a common challenge and need.
This scientific event was inaugurated by the director of BIFI, Yamir Moreno, and participated with the first plenary talk, the renowned Spanish virologist Luis Enjuanes, head of the Coronavirus Laboratory of the CSIC National Center for Biotechnology, which heads the team that is finalizing an intranasal vaccine against to Covid-19.
